In time, gravity, sun exposure, and the stresses of daily life take their toll on our faces: deep creases appear beside the mouth, the jaw line slackens, and folds and fat deposits appear on the neck. During the endoscopic browlift procedure, several tiny incisions are made along the scalp, into which surgical instruments are inserted. The surgeon uses these instruments to lift the skin of the forehead and remove any excess fat, muscle or skin from the area. Screws or sutures may be placed to keep the skin and muscle in place as the area heals, before the incisions are stitched closed.
